Corrie
McCluskey is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and has worked
in black & white medium format photography since
the early 1990s. She specializes in fine art and social documentary
work, urban landscapes, artist books and out-of-the-ordinary
stock imagery.
Her images have been published in various magazines: New York Times
Magazine, Camerawork, Photovision, Shots, Foto Pozytyw (Poland) and Focus (Netherlands).
These award-winning images have been exhibited in New York City, San Francisco,
Chicago and elsewhere in the US, as well
as in Germany (Mannheim), and the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Naarden, Enschede, Groningen).
Corrie studied photography, art and graphic design at the
University of California Berkeley and Santa Cruz Extensions, San Francisco Academy of Art,
and numerous other schools. She has also participated in esteemed
workshops in Santa Fe, Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University, Center for Photography in Woodstock, Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, NY, and the School for Photographic
Studies in Prague with respected photographers such as Judy
Dater, Wendy Ewald, Antonin Kratochvil, Mark Citret, Cole Weston, Sam Abell, Joan Lyons
and Libuse Jarcovjakova.
